Background

Pyramid Films International is an Indian movie distributor and producer of Tamil-language films.

1st Logo (1999-2000s)

Visuals: There is a sunrise over a CG-modeled dune area. The rising sun stops glowing, revealing it is an optical disc, which starts flipping into the camera as multiple transparent segments of a pyramid fly in from the right. The dunes become more transparent and hide away from the bottom, as the pyramid is later completed and the disc turns into the direction of the pyramid. A comet strikes through the pyramid as it spins, with the rainbow text "PYRAMID" then shooting in from it with a long 3D trail. The trail shrinks as the text moves back; it is seen sandwiched between the spinning pyramid and the optical disc. The logo then freeze-frames and the cursive text "presents", in yellow, slides from the right, accompanied by the smaller "A Voyage into DVD" in the bottom-right, with "DVD" in yellow.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A 90s-style synth fanfare, with a whoosh when the comet strikes.

Availability: Could be found on the company's DVD/VCD distributed prints. It was seen on Sanganam.

2nd Logo (September 15, 2000)

Visuals: There is a pyramid in two segments shown over a black background. Below is the Tamil name of the company.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The opening theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on Rhythm.
