Background

Thames Silents was a brand used by then-ITV contractor Thames Television to restore old silent films. The brand was discontinued after Thames lost its ITV franchise in 1992.

Logo (Late 1980s-1992)

Visuals: On a black background is a musical note with filmstrips running. On the left side, there's the word "THAMES" while on the right "SILENTS".

Variant: Sometimes, the text is in a different font.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Thames restorations of old silent films, such as Ben-Hur (1925) and The Blot (1921).
