Background

Universal Television Alternative Studio was established by NBCUniversal in June 2016 to develop alternative and unscripted programming. All of their productions have aired on its own networks as well as streaming services.

Logo (August 23, 2016-)

Visuals: Same as the current Universal Television logo, but the "UNIVERSALTELEVISION" text is now stacked and the word "ALTERNATIVE" is added under it. The NBCUniversal byline remains intact.

Variants:

  • Like the current Universal Television logo, a short version exists.
  • A still version of this logo also exists.
  • A print version of this logo also exists.
  • A bylineless version of this logo also exists.
  • The logo would often sometimes also share the screen with other logos.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the current Universal Television logo.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, the end theme of the show plays over or none.
  • Sometimes, the theme has a mix of the long and short versions (likely an error). This only occurs on the short version of the logo.

Availability:

  • It first debuted on Better Late Than Never, and later appears on its new and future shows such as World of Dance, The Titan Games, The Wall, Songland, and The Capital One College Bowl, among others.
  • It also appeared on the Bravo reboot of the show Blind Date.
  • It also appears at the end of the UK gameshow That's My Jam (the British adaptation of the 2021 NBC game show of the same name, also produced by UTVAS) on BBC One.
