Background

This is the production arm of Harlech Television (later HTV).

Harlech

Logo (May 20, 1968-1970)

Visuals: It's a still version of the 1968 ident, but only smaller, and "PRODUCTION" or "PRESENTATION" is added below the logo.

Technique: A still graphic

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on programmes from the company until the switch to colour in 1970.

  • Harlech-era programmes have not been preserved due to wiping.
  • Thanks to its short lifespan and lack of known programmes, this logo is harder to find.
  • It has been seen on HTV's earliest programmes, but it is unknown which one has this logo intact.
  • Like before, the only known trace of this logo comes from the Transdiffusion website.

HTV Productions

1st Logo (April 6, 1970-April 3, 1988)

Visuals:

  • Opening: Same as the station ID of the era.
  • Closing: This is a still version of the 1970 HTV logo, typically accompanied with in-credit text.

Variants:

  • An in-credit variant with the text "Produced by" above the logo and "In association with PRIMETIME TELEVISION LTD." and the copyright notice below it. This was seen on the 1986 Disney Channel mini-series Return to Treasure Island.
