Background

WITF is a PBS affiliate located in Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York, Pennsylvania.

1st Ident (1987-1994)


Visuals: There is a red dot against a white background. The text "WITF" in black flies in towards the camera at a fast pace, with the "I" underneath the dot. "HARRISBURG" and "PRESENTS" fade in below.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An upbeat synth-pop tune.

Availability: It was seen at the start of Big Comfy Couch episodes from this era on PBS.

2nd Ident (1990-1996)


Visuals: On a background of diagonal red, green, and blue stripes, we see the text "WITF 33 HARRISBURG" on a blue diamond in the far right.

Technique: Digital shining effects over a CGI still render.

Audio: None.

Availability: This was used in tandem with the 1st and 3rd idents. It was seen on Computer Chronicles, often replacing the KCSM logo. (There may be episodes that have both the KCSM and WITF logos at the start of the show, but in-credit texts were at the end)
