Background

Toei TV Production Co., Ltd. (株式会社東映テレビ・プロダクション), also known as Toei TVP, is the television production division (with occasional ventures in theatrical films) of Toei Company.

Logo (December 2, 1958?-)

Visuals: An in-credit logo featuring Toei's emblem with "東映" to the right of it.

Variants:

  • On Condorman, the logo uses "TTP" text without Toei's emblem.
  • On episode 1-23 of the first season of World Trigger, the logo has a light blue outer glow. Starting in episode 24, the outer glow color becomes darker, and since episode 48, the logo was changed to have light blue shadow with a black stroke.
  • On KiraKira★Pretty Cure à la Mode, Healin' Good♡Pretty Cure, Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure, Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure and Wonderful Pretty Cure!, the logo is pink with a white stroke.
  • On Star★Twinkle Pretty Cure, the logo has a pink inner glow with a black stroke.
  • On Soaring Sky! Precure, the logo has a light blue beveled stroke.
  • Some programs would have the text formatting and emblem drawing vary.
  • Rarely, the logo has only the words "東映動画" without Toei's emblem. This is more common in 1958-1969.

Technique: Superimposed animation.

Audio: The opening or closing theme of the show.

Availability: Can be seen on television series and franchises produced by them, such as the Super Sentai series, the Kamen Rider series, the Metal Heroes series, the Dragon Ball series, the Saint Seiya series, the Digimon series, the Sailor Moon series, and others. It likely first appeared on Kaze Kozo, Toei's first television program, although footage from it has yet to surface online.
