Background

The International Instructional Television Cooperative (ITV) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1973 to develop, produce, and distribute educational shows in the fields of language arts, science, social studies, art and consumer education.

1st Logo (1970's)

Logo: On a black background, a strange-looking logo appears, which consists of a "T" attached to the left of a bracket-like "C". The combination makes it look like a "V" instead. On the "T" is a black "I", surrounded in a outline with the same color as the logo. A dot appears above the "I".

Variants: This is either filmed or videotaped:

  • Filmed: The logo is yellow and the dot is white.
  • Videotaped: The logo is light blue and the dot is red.

FX/SFX: The dot appearing.

Music/Sounds:

  • Filmed: A synth fanfare with the last note held out.
  • Videotaped: A ding.

Availability: Rare. The Book Bird had the filmed logo, while Dragons, Wagons and Waxhad the videotaped logo.
