Background

Pathé Vidéo is the French home media division of Pathé.

1st Logo (1980s-1991?)


Visuals: On a blue/white background, the letters in "PATHE VIDEO" appear from different spots. Two white lines appear on the top and bottom of the text. At the bottom, the word "Présente" appears in a scripted font.

Technique: Simple computer effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on French VHS tapes, examples include Uranus and Saturnin et la fée pas comme les autres (Une fée... pas comme les autres).

2nd Logo (1990s)


Visuals: Same as the Pathé logo from the time period, however at the end, the chyroned text "Vidéo" fades below.

Later Variant: On later releases, the Chargeurs byline is removed.

Technique: Same as the regular logo, but with the additions seen above.

Audio: Same as the regular logo.

Availability: Appears on French VHS tapes released at the time, such as A River Runs Through It, Queen Margot, Tom and Jerry: The Movie (1992), and Last of the Dogmen. Later Pathé releases use the standard logo.
