1st Logo (1983-1990)

Nickname: "Flipping GED"

Logo: On a sunset-looking background with a tile floor on the bottom and "GED" in an ugly font, the words "General Educational Development" flip in under the letters.

FX/SFX: "General Educational Development" flipping in.

Music/Sounds: A chime tune.

Availability: Extinct, the programs of the GED series that had this logo was replaced with the next one.

2nd Logo (1990)


Nickname: "The Shimmering BG"

Logo: On a blue background with light blue lines, we see "GED" in a font used in sports' shirts. Under it is "General Educational Development". The background "shimmers".

FX/SFX: The background "shimmering".

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st logo.

Availability: Seen on various GED series.
