2nd Logo (1970-1973)

Music/Sounds: An announcer, or none.
Availability: See the 2nd logo.
6th Logo (1987-2000)
Nickname: "WD8N II"
Logo: On a blue background, from a top aerial view, we see parts of the WDCN logo, consisting of a segmented "W", "D", and "N", colored blue, as well as a red "8" with the bottom part cut on the right (making it a "C"), flying all over the screen. When they form the logo, we go to a center shot, and the logo zooms in slightly and shines.
FX/SFX: '80s computer effects.
Music/Sounds: A synthesized guitar tune, and the announcer saying "WDCN, Nashville".
Availability: Rare. Usually seen as a "You're watching" local ID on the channel, but this may have also been a program intro tag for some local shows. Also, seen on many programming from the era, but those programs are long gone, due to appearing or plastering with older prints.
WNPT

Availability: Extinct; used to appear on PBS airings of The Big Comfy Couch before 2003. Recorded tapes might retain this logo, which serves also as a Local ID.
2nd Logo (2003-2009)

Availability: Currently at the end of The Big Comfy Couch episodes on PBS. Was recently spotted on a 2009 episode of Volunteer Gardener. Can be seen on some older episodes of Tennessee Crossroads. If your PBS station broadcasts Chet Atkins: Certified Guitar Player during a pledge drive, you might catch this at the start and end of the program, even on newer prints.
