Background

Columbia TriStar Productions PTY. LTD. was the Australian division of Columbia TriStar Television.

(2000-2002)

Logo: Same as the 2nd Columbia TriStar Home Video logo, but "HOME VIDEO" is replaced by "PRODUCTIONS PTY. LTD. AUSTRALIA" in two lines. "COLUMBIA" and "TRISTAR" also look more separated from each other. The Sony Pictures byline used on most CT counterparts appears below the logo, most of the time.

Variants:

  • The logo can be seen superimposed on the closing credits.
  • There's a variant with a black background, an even bigger "COLUMBIA" and "TRISTAR", and the only text below the logos being "PRODUCTIONS".

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None or perhaps the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Australian TV shows/movies released by Columbia TriStar and might be removed/replaced by any Sony Pictures Television (and its international counterpart) logos on current prints. It was recently spotted on the 2002 TV movie Heroes' Mountain on Seven Network. This is plastered by the Sony Pictures Television International on Amazon Prime prints of Ihaka: Blunt Instrument.
