Clear Vision was a British home video company. The company is most well known for their "Silver Vision" imprint, which was the official distributor for WWE in the United Kingdom from 1990 until 2012 (and later Europe as well), and "FightDVD", who released UFC products.
The company entered administration in July 2014, and shut their doors entirely by 2017.
1st Logo (1992-2003)
![](/w/thumb.php?f=Clear_Vision_%281992%29.png&width=350)
Visuals: On a light blue ethereal background, the Clear Vision logo of the time fades in. It consists of a sky blue circle with the large purple words "CLEAR VISION VIDEO" on it, with yellow outlines, tilted towards the top right, and surrounded by a circular construct. Below, "PRESENTS" fades in with a white outline and shines thrice throughout the logo.
Variant: On Gladiator's Return, the logo is on a stone background with 3 spotlights shining down on it, and "PRESENTS" is in a different font coloured white. It then fades out to make room for the 1986 LWT logo, followed by The Samuel Goldwyn Company logo.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: Originally silent, but later gained a majestic theme.
Availability: Seen on Clear Vision releases from the time-period until 2003.
- Examples include Minder, Gladiators, and Jack Osborne VHS releases from the period, and the original DVD releases of Rhubarb: Rhubarb & Mr. H Is Late and The Plank & It’s Your Move.
- It is also seen on the 1996 UK VHS release of Tarzan: Vol. 3.
2nd Logo (2003-2014?)
Visuals: Reflections of a blue and yellow shape appear on a black background. Then, a dark blue rectangle with the words "Clear Vision" in white, rotates onto the shape, slowing down considerable, before zooming out to reveal the shape to be a circle with a semi white-yellow gradient crescent, and a white hazy circle next to it. The reflections of the logo continue to be seen even after the text shines with a ray of light, and flashes white to brighten up the text. Eventually, they slowly fade away, the logo stops zooming, and the URL "WWW.CLEARVISION.CO.UK" appears below.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A dramatic electronic fanfare with whooshes when the logo rotates, a soft bang when it rests in the centre, twinkling as the logo gains its glow, and two sets of drum beats afterwards. Descending piano notes play in between the drum beats.
Availability: Seen on Marvel, early My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic releases, and select other titles released throughout Europe.
3rd Logo (2014-2016)
Visuals: On a white background with a black vignette, a black hexagon zooms in while rotating clockwise, while 2 brackets come in from the top and bottom of it to form the new logo. Once the logo forms, the text "CLEARVISION" wipes in below and the entire thing zooms in, with a light bar slowly traveling down the logo.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: The second half of the previous logo.
Availability: Seen on DVD releases of Boj, at least one DVD release of The Koala Brothers, and maybe UFC releases as well.
