Background

BBC Children's DVD was a sub-label of BBC Video. At the time, all mainstream BBC releases were distributed through 2 Entertain while children's releases remained under BBC Worldwide distribution, so this label was created to fulfill this measure.

In 2010, the label was retired following BBC's full purchase of 2 Entertain, which meant all BBC releases would be under the single 2 Entertain umbrella, including children's releases.
