Super 8mm Opening version
-
Super 8mm Closing version
Visuals: On a black background, the neon number "8" is shown at the center, colored in blue at the inside and red at the outside. The neon-stylized text
Eight
shines at the frontside of the number. Five seconds in the logo, the text "PRESENTS" fades in, located below the number. After a couple of seconds, the aforementioned text fades into the text "EXCERPTS FROM".
Variants:
- There is a closing version that contains the byline "FROM UNIVERSAL 8 ALL TV AND THEATRICAL RIGHTS RESERVED".
- For the closing version of Bob Fosse's Sweet Charity, the logo does not contain a byline. Instead the logo is shown initially as the standard logo without the text "PRESENTS", and runs at a split second.
- Certain prints of the logo have the logo in fading, or lighter, colors
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: None.
Availability: Can likely be seen on any program released by the company, such as Bob Fosse's Sweet Charity.
