Logo (1980s)

Visuals: On a white background, two curved lines, one blue and one red (the red being the smaller one), spin out and place themselves at the center, with the red line placed next to the blue one. A color-changing transparent semicircle then flips in close to the screen and zooms out, then spins into the remaining available section of the two lines. The semicircle stops once it's yellow and the logo moves to the top. Then, either "RAINBOW VIDEO PACK" (for VHS and Beta releases) or "RAINBOW VIDEO DISC" (for LaserDisc and VHD releases) in two lines and Japanese text reading "日本ビデオ映像株式会社" (lit. Japanese Video Imaging Company).

Variant: The closing variant of this logo starts with the logo fading in on the red and blue curved lines already in place.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A four-note synth brass intro that precedes a long, arpeggio-led majestic synth theme. More notes from the brass synth are heard on the second half. The closing variant starts a few seconds into said theme, but it has a majestic flourish at the end.

Availability: Can be found on VHDs released by the company. [Examples?]
