Background

Mogul Communications, Inc. is an American video distributor known for a number of video nasties. Some titles made it into the UK during the pre-cert era, aswell as Spain through Madrid-based company Intervision.

1st Logo (1982-1986)


Visuals: A red, yellow and green stripe overlaid with a white box consisting of the word "MOGUL" in black serif italic text.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on 37 titles, according to VHSCollector.com.

2nd Logo (1987)

Visuals: On a glowing black-blue starfield with a rotating 4-pointed star above, a diagonal-patterned silver rectangle with a black border with "MOGUL" flips behind the star, and settles into place whilst shining.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Spotted on the Spanish release of Special Force, as well as others from the catalog.
