Background

Dioharis Audiovisual was responsible for producing television/radio commercials, as well as releasing shows and films on DVD and VCD. It was founded in 2002 by Ilias Mihalas.

1st Logo (2002-2005)

Visuals: On a white background, various black letters in a wide font similar to the Bank Gothic font are scattered all across the screen, as well as various faded grey lines and a red Jupiter symbol "". All of the letters move about in a haphazard way and the lines slide all about before they come together to form the text "DIOHARIS" in an uneven configuration and the Jupiter symbol behind the "I", as well as the lines forming a reverse L-shape. "audiovisual" then appears in the upper right corner of the box in a tall red font.

Technique: Choppy 2D animation.

Audio: An excerpt of Hocus Pocus by Corinne Gelfan, as heard on the MX009 Movie Showcase Vol. 1 album.

Availability: Can be found on some VCD releases of La Princesse du Nil (or Η Πριγκίπισσα του Νείλου in Greek), as well as a Greek DVD print of Then There Were Giants.

2nd Logo (2005-2007)

Visuals: On a white background, various black lines wipe and shoot in from all over the screen, creating a "sketch" of the box from before in a incomplete form, as well as 2 curved lines flanking both sides. The letters for "DIOHARIS", except for the "I", also "draw" in as outlines surrounded by lines, with the "S" oddly rotating when it lines in. A thin red line then scans the logo from left to right, once revealing the Jupiter symbol and "audiovisual" in outline form, and then filling them and the "D OHARIS" letters in. The final result resembles this: "DOHARIS"

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Same as before, but with added sketching noises and a odd sound of water dripping.

Availability: Same as before. It also has been seen on a DVD of Hell's Kitchen (1998).

3rd Logo (2007-2010)

Visuals: In a dark environment, a spotlight illuminates a white wall as the camera zooms out and red sparkles appear on the wall. The Dioharis Audiovisual logo, which retains the sketch lines from the 2nd logo, zooms out in multiple layers as the camera suddenly revolves around it at a fast pace before it settles at a high angle above it. The camera then shows the logo zooming back onto the white wall and it settles at a slightly off-center angle. The spotlight also splits into 2 during this, splitting slowly apart before quickly sliding across each other and stopping to illuminate the entire logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An array of whooshes mixed with a beeping tune.

Availability: Can be found on some releases, such as DVDs from the Golden Collection of Greek Cinema Classics.
