Background

Columbia Video is the home video branch of Japanese music entertainment company Nippon Columbia (or internationally as Nipponophone).

Logo (1984-2001)

Visuals: On a black/white gradient background with blue stars is the metallic silver word "COLUMBIA" in Helvetica, zooming in a spiral pattern with a trail effect as it places itself a the top of the screen. Then, a rectangle with the word "VIDEO", with the letter "V" connected with the rectangle and a trapezoid and triangle inside it, zooms in, flipping as it does. A 4-pointed star shines next to the letter "V" and the Japanese characters "日本コロムビア株式会社" fades in at the bottom on the screen. The logo shines continuously throughout the duration, and everything has a black drop shadow.
