1st Logo (May 18, 1989)

Visuals: On a black/blue gradient background, two golden objects with sprockets on its flattening come together from both sides of the screen (leaving behind trails), resembling a "Y" shaped like a whale's tail. It flashes and moves to the right. After this, it shines as sparkles form the text ".C.LAI FILM" from left to right of the symbol. The Chinese translation, in red, fades in below all this, and the logo continues to shine as the English translation "Y.C.LAI FILMS PRODUCTION CO., LTD." zooms out (also with a trail effect) and flashes below the logo. The logo continues to shine until the logo fades out.

Technique: Motion-controlled cel and backlit animation.

Audio: It starts with timpani roll, then a majestic, synthesized fanfare plays with bell tinkles and a synthesized sweep being heard. Presumably a library music.

Availability: Seen on Close Escape.

2nd Logo (October 10, 1990)

Visuals: On a black-blue gradient starfield background, many sparkling stars zooming towards the camera. The red star flies in from the top towards the center, as the same "Y" from before, but made out of chrome and with the base, wipes in from the top-left corner, as the starfield and zooming stars disappear. The "Y" flashes itself and sparkles. The red company name in Chinese and "Y. C. LAI FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY LTD." in Clarendon, fade in. The "Y" continues to sparkle until it stops.

Technique: Motion-controlled cel and backlit animation.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Only seen on Point of No Return.
