1st Logo (October 28, 1947)

Visuals: The logo fades to a setting where a prancing horse statue is shown against a cloudy sky background. After a few seconds, the following set of text:

FILM PRODUCTION
RELEASED THROUGH GENERAL FILM DISTRIBUTORS LTD

slowly fades in front of the statue. The logo then crossfades to the opening of the film after a while.

Technique: A chroma-keyed cel sheet against a filmed model with fading effects.

Audio: The film's opening theme.

Availability: Seen only in The Woman in the Hall.

2nd Logo (September 22, 1948-October 16, 1950)

Visuals: The logo fades to a setting where an illustration of a white horse (similarly styled to the previous logo) is displayed in the middle of a hill range in a daytime environment. The camera zooms in towards the horse after a few seconds, as the following set of text:

fades in front of the illustration at the moment the camera starts zooming. There may also be a text notice of which company released the film below the aformentioned text, such as General Film Distributors and Eagle-Lion Distributors, Inc..

Variants:

  • On Dear Mr. Prohack, "IAN DALRYMPLE'S" was omitted, but the text notice remains present.
  • On The Dim Little Island, The text reads "WESSEX FILM PRODUCTIONS LTD presents" in a stacked format.

Technique: Camera-controlled animation and a chroma-keyed cel sheet with fading effects.

Audio: The film's opening theme.

Availability:

  • It was known to appear in Esther Waters, Once a Jolly Swagman, All Over the Town, and The Wooden Horse albeit with no text notice.
  • The "presents" version made its known appearance in the short film The Dim Little Island.
  • The version without "IAN DALRYMPLE'S" was only known to appear in Dear Mr. Prohack.
