1st Logo (July 2-November 5, 2005) | 2nd Logo (June 17, 2006-June 10, 2017) | 3rd Logo (March 17, 2018-) |
1st Logo (July 2-November 5, 2005)
Visuals: Just the name "Nippon Television Network Corporation" on a black background.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: Seen on The All-Out Nine: Field of Nightmares, Madamada Abunai Deka, and Always - Sunset on Third Street.
2nd Logo (June 17, 2006-June 10, 2017)
-
Original variant
-
2014 variant
Visuals: On a space background, four colored stars are seen shining in the distance: green on the top, red on the bottom-left, blue slightly below the red one and yellow on the right. Then, a bright light appears in the centre of the background, rising with a similar moving small, circular orange dot while a crescent rainbow and horizontal lens flare appears. As the light and dot rises, the space background changes into a bright blue sky. The gold logo also fades in with the text "Nippon Television Network Corporation" underneath it, revealing that the dot is part of the logo's first kanji. After the dot reaches the middle of that kanji, the dot's light fades and darkens the background.
Variants:
- The logo had two anniversary variants during its time-frame:
- 55th anniversary (2008): a Japanese byline coloured gold appears on the top of the logo.
- 60th anniversary (2013): the 2003-2013 logo is flipped to the red version of the 2013 logo with the words "Go! Next 60".
- In 2014, a new version was used when the logo flipped to the yellow version of the 2013 logo with Japanese text beneath it, which translates to "I want to see and change the world".
Technique: CGI.
Audio: An eight-note xylophone tune, followed by a peppy, nine-note trumpet fanfare that's backed up by strings.
Audio Variants:
- Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler (2009): Multiple ghostly voices whisper "ZAWA" when the light appears, fading out when the orange dot rises. As the light dims, the voices get louder and stop when the light vanishes.
- Kaiji 2: The Ultimate Gambler (2011): Same as the Kaiji: The Ultimate Gambler variant, but a rumbling noise is heard before the light and the voices repeat itself in decreasing volumes.
- Memoirs of a Murderer (2017): Radio transmissions of the 1995 Kobe earthquake play over this logo and the Robot Communications Inc. logo.
Availability: First seen on Death Note as a variant and last seen on Memoirs of a Murderer.
3rd Logo (March 17, 2018-)
Visuals: Unknown
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Unknown.
Audio Variants:
- Kaiji: Final Game (2020): Same as the two Kaiji variants, but the voices are distorted and become progressively louder before the logo is fully visible, culminating in an echo of voices that quieten. When the background begins to turn white, the voices get louder again, ending with one normal pitched voice after the logo becomes two-dimensional.
Availability: First seen on Chihayafuru Part 3.
