Logo (June 9, 2006-)

Visuals: The logo starts on a black background. A flame appears on the bottom and moves towards the left, where a man's head can be seen on the bottom-left corner. The man then releases more fire from his mouth to the flame, which appears to be part of a torch, and the flame spreads even more, to light up a flaming red "NERV", which causes the man and torch to disappear once it appears. While it is burning, "F I L M" fades to the bottom-right corner of the text, and following this are the flames fading away from the text. The text then shines and fades out.

Technique: Live action combined with CGI.

Audio: The sounds of a gentle wind and the flames burning when the flaming text appears.
