Background

Khemara Pictures (ខេមរាភាពយន្ត) was a Cambodian film production company established in the 1960s by then King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk. It was active during the period before the Khmer Rouge.

Logo (1960s)

Visuals: On a white background, an emblem is seen. It consists of a stupa (the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh) over a black background, surrounded by gold aureole, topped by the royal arms of Cambodia. A bright spark of light shines from the stupa. A winged demon is seen on the bottom of the emblem, holding and biting a pair of dragons (néak). Under the emblem, the following is seen:

Technique: Practical effects superimposed over a painting.

Audio: A royal-sounding fanfare.
