Background
TimeTop was a Chinese-based manufacturer of handheld video game systems. They were a division of Guangzhou Daidaixing Electronics Tech Co Ltd., a company founded in 1994. Their most notable output was the GameKing series of handheld consoles, which utilized primitive 8-bit hardware and digitized audio capabilities. The original GameKing was released in 2004 at Hong Kong and overseas, followed up by the GameKing II, a backwards-compatible upgraded model of the original GameKing. The GameKing 3 was released in 2005 and added a color display. Other consoles were the "Handy Game", a successor to the GameKing series based on Famicom hardware, and another Famicom-based "TV Joystick" plug and play series of dedicated systems.

Visuals: Starts with a white screen. Then, the screen changes to black with two moving lines on the sides. A shooting star is seen scrolling to the right, and appears again moving to the left. Then two of these shooting stars appear from both sides, and as they meet to the center the screen transitions as these stars move away into the white screen with the company's logo, what appears to be a diagonal square with a star and a crown-style shape at the top. Below is the stylized text "TIMETOP", with an upside-down triangle above the M and a dot inside the O.
Technique: Sprite animation.
Audio: A shooting sound repeated twice, followed by a shining sound, also looped.
Availability: Seen whenever booting up an original GameKing system.
2nd Logo (2005)
Visuals: On a red screen, two lines appear from the sides and circle at the center, and an Earth globe appears inside the formed circle. Four comets then strike the Earth globe and the border disappears, and a flame appears behind the globe as it explodes. The explosion takes most of the screen, bringing up a blue TimeTop logo, with the stylized sections of the text having a red color. Next to it is the registered mark in orange.
Technique: Sprite animation.
Audio: A swoosh, and an explosion.
Availability: Seen whenever booting up a GameKing III system.
