Background

Prolific Publishing was a publishing subsidiary of Silent Software, created to help publish Return Fire. After releasing the sequel to the aforementioned game, Silent would later rebrand themselves under Prolific. Prolific would turn toward developing license-based games, even porting two of Crystal Dynamics titles to the SEGA Dreamcast before moving to the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance, developing their final title in 2002. The company would later turn their focus toward producing computer programs, those with a focus on marine biology, still active to this day.
