(Documenting my first (probably?) Chinese film logo page. This company is probably from China, hence why I'm calling it my first Chinese film logo page, since it shows simplified Chinese text unlike those of HK ones and the mention of "Shanghai", which is a place from China.)

(→‎1st Logo (2010): Per Camenati says about film festival debuts don't count as release date, so I'm putting the China release date in.)

1st Logo (September 21, 2010)

Visuals: On a black background, we see "SMA" with the silhouette of the Shanghai skyline printed onto it. Below are the Chinese text "上影寰亚" (with "" on the "" being a spiral) and the company name in a blocky font, "SHANGHAI FILM MEDIA ASIA".

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen.

2nd Logo (2017)

Visuals: On a faint black gradient background, we see holes opening up with light as we see different shots of it. It then cuts to reveal that it is a black and white filmstrip as the camera pans to the right. It then cuts to several diamonds appear on each frame of the filmstrip and float, while we fade into a close-up view of the diamonds floating before we flash to see a diamond stops at the left and the white outlined-shape of it shines. Just before it stops shining, the diamond disappears, leaving the outlined-shape behind. Four vertical lines below the outlined-shape of the diamond, alongside the Chinese text "上影寰亞", in a different blocky font, with "Shanghai Film Media Asia" below, fade in. A light then runs through on the bottom-right of the shape, causing "SMA" wipes in by the light. The entire logo is applied with the falling particles effect, which later only applied on the background during the logo formation.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A piano tune, which later adds in several synth noises when the diamonds appear.

Availability: Seen on Legend of the Naga Pearls.
