Background

Scream Gems (also known as Scream Gems Horror Lab) is a genre label of Screen Gems Pictures, which in turn is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It was launched in 2019 in partnership with Ground Control; as an initiative that will focus on the development and production of horror genre proof-of-concepts. Its first short is Blink, which premiered at the SXSW on March 13, 2022 before being made online on YouTube the next day.

Logo (March 13, 2022-)


Visuals: The sequence starts with the Sony logo. Then, rather than zooming through the "O" like usual, it instead zooms in through the hole of said letter, as we continue to zoom further until we see the Screen Gems logo in a metallic silver color as it shines over a black background. Then, after a few seconds, some blood drips appear pouring down, until it covers the entire logo in a maroon color, as the name also changes to "SCREAM GEMS" as the logo shines again before fading out.
