1st logo (October 2, 2007)
Visuals: On a black background, a 3D grid of blue blocks appears with one row rising and growing in brightness, simulating waves. The screen rotates to where the grid faces the screen. Shortly before the camera stops moving, the blue blocks transform into a picture of a beach with palm trees during sunset. Then "SAN DIEGOSTUDIOS" fades in with a rough, water-like bar underneath and an orange color filled underneath the "O".
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Beach and wave sounds.
Availability: Only seen on NBA '08.
2nd logo (November 29, 2007-March 27, 2018)
Visuals: On a black or white background, there is a rounded shape consisting of a stylized "S" in either blue or black and an unfilled "D" in black or blue. The shape is placed between the words "SAN DIEGO" and "STUDIO" in black or white respectively.
Variants:
- On ModNation Racers the racer begins to startup his racer then it jumps in a blue foor with black screen and begins to accelerate. When it does so the blue wave appears with another racer riding outside the blue wave with another racer rides in it forming the same rounded shape with the words "SAN DIEGO STUDIO" fades in.
- On Sports Champions and it's sequel Sports Champions 2 the PlayStation Move motion controller is seen. Then it acts like a table tennis rack in a purple color hitting a ball with green light showing the logo within in a 3D room. Then it changes into a disc golf in a red color and throws it with red light in it and then it changes into a bow and arrow in a blue-green color aiming it to the wall, then it releases it to hit the wall to reveal the logo.
Technique: CGI for the aforementioned variants. None for the generic variant.
Audio: None or the opening of the game.
Availability: It debuted on Pain and can be seen on many games from this period up until MLB The Show 18.
3rd logo (March 26, 2019-)
Visuals: On a black background, the sequence starts off with a blue stadium shape with its left side overlapped by an uppercase "S" with "SAN DIEGO STUDIO" underneath. As the sun sets from the top of the right side of the shape, the color of the shape as well as the text changes to a warmer gradient before becoming dark. Afterwards, a row of bars consisting of orange-blue colors fades in place of the sky colors.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: Beach sounds with a whoosh when the sun sets.
Availability: Can be seen on their games starting with MLB The Show 19.
