1st Logo (September 4, 2013-March 31, 2015)

Visuals: On a dark background with dust particles floating to the right, a red ring with the silhouette of a metal barrel is shown behind "RED BARRELS" in a white, steely font. The text briefly zooms in rapidly and blurs before reverting back to its initial state. Not long after, the logo quickly zooms in and blurs out, cutting the sequence to black.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A quick zap leads to a sudden and dramatic mechanical bang. A whoosh is heard as the logo quickly zooms in at the end.

Availability: It appears on Outlast for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and OS X.

2nd Logo (April 25, 2017-)

Visuals: Multiple close ups of a black metal barrel is shown with red paint spilling over it on a black background. The first of which shows the top of the barrel, followed by the upper portion of its side, and then the staves and middle hoops. After a few seconds focusing on the middle hoop, the screen cuts to the full logo on a dark steel background with a light in the top center. The logo consists of a vector graphic of a barrel, with shadows and shining for its hoops, bottom aligned to a red ring next to "Red Barrels" in white.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A metallic bang starts the audio sequence. Leading to a loud cinematic impact when the full logo is revealed, there is a dramatic rising string note.

Availability: The logo debuted on Outlast 2 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One and later appeared on Outlast for the Nintendo Switch and The Outlast Trials.
