1st (known) Logo (2000-2006)

Nickname: "RAI Butterfly"

Logo: On a black background, we see two white lasers draw the Rai butterfly logo in white with a light blue tint. After it's done, the logo zooms out to make room for several letters that fly in, forming the words "Rai" and "Cinema" on the left and right side of the logo respectively. Then the logo shines.

FX/SFX: The lasers drawing the logo and the letters flying.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on several Italian movies.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2006-May 17, 2010)

Nickname: "RAI Butterfly II"

Logo: The Rai Cinema logo lies over a stylized blue starfield. The logo has a shadow that moves slightly.

FX/SFX: Just the shadow's movement.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Rather common on Italian movies released at the time.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (May 17, 2010-)

Nickname: "RAI Square"

Logo: On a blue background, we see several strips of light, which come together to form the new Rai Cinema logo (somewhat like the 2011 StudioCanal logo). After a while, the logo stops shining.

Variant: On Beckett, the logo is tinted in red color.

FX/SFX: Nice light section effects.

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Current. Can be found on most Rai movies of the time.

Editor's Note: None.
