Background

Puppet Combo is a video game company founded by Benedetto "Ben" Cocuzza in 2012 as Pig Farmer Games and based in Brooklyn. They specializes in survival horror games in the fashion of 1980s slasher films. Some of their games have the word "night" in their titles.

1st Logo (February 24, 2015-)

Visuals: A fuchsia grid appears on a black background and moves across the screen. It then zooms out and splits into two white grids as the background becomes a black starfield. A black-and-white picture of four slasher film-inspired characters zooms in and flashes, and the purple words "PUPPET COMBO" appears, with a TM symbol next to it, and with a blue glow surrounding the whole logo. The words change colors 4 times in sync with the music, then become purple again. Finally, the logo zooms out with a trail effect, and the screen fades to black. The whole logo is presented in a 4x3 aspect ratio and has a VHS effect.

Variant: On the teaser trailer for Power Drill Massacre (and presumably other trailers for Puppet Combo games), the logo is in 16x9 and the words "COMING SOON FROM PUPPET COMBO HOME ENTERTAINMENT" is below. This version also lacks the VHS effect.

Technique: Scanimate-style computer animation.

Audio: A '80s-esque synthesized theme. It starts with a held-out synth note, then some synth warbling is heard, followed by a held-out synth drone. After the logo forms, 4 synth notes play. The notes repeat 3 times, with the last 2 notes on the final repeat having a higher tone. Finally, there is 3 drum beats.

Availability: Appears on Night Watch, and presumably some more games from the company. Some games, like Night Ripper, have no logo.

Audio: None.

Availability: It appears on Night Shift and the opening scene to '.

3rd Logo (October 14, 2022-)

Visuals: A red neon grided surface is sliding diagonally on a black background. The grid tilts to a normal angle and crossfades to a coral background. "PUPPET COMBO", both of which are in their own gray boxes with shadows facing the bottom left, slide in from opposite directions, followed by the four characters from before flashing in above the text. The boxes shine after the formation.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: While a deep, synthesized chord plays in the background, a high pitched, seven note. The first three are spaced out and repeated whereas the rest manipulates the pitch of the chord. The soundtrack ends with a whoosh, which lasts until the end.

Availability: It debuted on the full release version of Stay Out of the House.
