Background

Lovely Pictures was a Pakistani in-house film production company founded by film director Aslam Irani and based in Lahore.

1st logo (October 29, 1965)

Visuals: There is a view of a mosque which was zoomed in, and it starts zooming out. After twenty-five seconds, it stopped zooming. The company name doesn't appear.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A one-note piano sample, and then followed by the woman singing throughout the logo.

Availability: Only seen on Pilpli Sahib.

2nd Logo (June 24, 1966)

Visuals: Essentially a different still shot of a mosque, which stays static for 17 seconds. Like the last logo, the company name doesn't appear.

Technique: A live-action still.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on Bharia Mela.

3rd Logo (February 16, 1968-March 19, 1971)

Visuals: The logo starts with yet another still shot of the Badshahi Mosque. The company name in Urdu then wipes in from right to left after a while. The text eventually fades out.

Variants:

  • On Badul Da Vera, the logo is red-tinted due to film conditions. The text also fades in when the music starts.
  • On Baba Dina, the angle is different and the text transition is replaced with just the fade out.

Technique: Wiping effects.

Audio: Same as the previous logos.

Audio Variant: On Baba Dina, it is silent.

Availability: Seen on Mela Do Din Da, Badul Da Vera and Baba Dina.
