Background

Grand March Movie Production was a film company from Hong Kong.

Logo (April 20, 1989-July 4, 1996)

Visuals: On a black/blue gradient background, yellow sparkles appear on the center on the screen, forming a gold (or silver) eagle. The eagle then zooms back, and the red Chinese hand-written letters "萬里電影有限公司" fade in, followed by the English "GRAND MARCH MOVIE PRODUCTION CO., LTD." below in white.

Variants:

  • Early films such as Dragon Fight and Ghost Fever featured the silver eagle.
  • Later films feature the eagle in gold. On the company's last film, How To Meet The Lucky Stars, the background is completely black.

Technique: Backlit/cel animation.

Audio: A majestic synth string and brass fanfare.

Availability: Seen on films they've produced, including Dragon Fight, Ghost Fever, and How To Meet The Lucky Stars.
