Background

Double Dare You is Guillermo del Toro's production company. It was originally formed as Disney Double Dare You, a joint venture with Walt Disney Pictures to produce horror films. However, nothing came out of the partnership, and Guillermo proceeded the use the name for his own production company.

Logo (October 20, 2010-)

Visuals: On a black background is a red bloody circle with a skull in half inside and the text "DOUBLE DARE YOU" in a ghoul font, with the first "D" having a skull, the first "O" having a keyhole, the second "D" having a full skeleton, and the second "O" having a spider.

Variant: An animated version exists, starting with a zoom out from the first "O" letter shaped like a keyhole, then the "D" letters wipe over a skull on the top and a full skeleton on the bottom, the last "O" letter wipes over a spider, then the red circle with a skull in half zooms into the background, shaking the letters, then the blood flows down at the end.

Technique: None for the still version. The animated version uses 2D animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show. The animated version has a string eerie music with a slam sound at the end.

Availability: The animated version appears on Julia's Eyes. The still version can be seen on The Strain on FX, as well as Trollhunters and 3Below: Tales of Arcadia on Netflix.
