Background

Midas Interactive Entertainment (formerly Midas Games) was a British video game publisher founded in February 1999. Originally formed as a subsidiary of Dutch publisher Midas Interactive Entertainment BV, it became the headquarters for the group in 2001. The company was well known as the UK distributor of numerous Koei and Tecmo games, and for releasing PS1 games based on the infamous Dingo Pictures films.

1st Logo (2000)

Visuals: Unknown.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It is known to have appeared on California Watersports for the PlayStation and several unofficial ports of Dingo Pictures movies on said console.

2nd Logo (November 24, 2000-February 7, 2003)


Visuals: On a black background, the embossed word "MiDAS" fades in, with the "i" tipped with a spinning Earth. A purple rounded box appears behind it as the Earth glows. Once the box is formed, a white flare forms the word "GAMES".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A sparkly synthesised jingle.

Availability: Seen on Centre Court: Hardhitter, the European version of Dynasty Warriors 2, Lake Masters EX and the European version of Operation Winback for the PlayStation 2. It also appeared on the European version of Runabout 2 on the PlayStation.

Availability: It is known to have appeared on Realm of the Dead, Pacific Warriors II: Dogfight and Rollercoaster World, all for the PlayStation 2.
