Most of my fake logos go here because yes

U.S. Navy Film Dept.

Background

This is the main film branch of the U.S. Navy, which was founded on April 1st of 1961 as a documentary film studio about the sea and ship-related content.

1st Logo (1966)

Logo: On a blue background, there is a white, stylized military ship containing the letters "UNF" on top of a wavy line representing the ocean. Underneath is the text "U.S. NAVY FILM DEPARTMENT" in white.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: A nautical 7-note horn jingle.

Availability: Extinct. It has only appeared once in its lifetime since it has been confirmed by the studio that it was a placeholder/prototype logo. It may potentially be found on VHS tapes from the state, or possibly the internet archive website.

2nd Logo (1966-1990)

You wanna see something cool? Well here's something kinda cool:
I'm still stuck in February 2023 help ;-; Logos that have been debunked as fake and in-credit are excluded.
