Background

Telecapri is a leading generalist local broadcaster in Campania, Southern Italy founded in 1977 by brothers Costantino and Claudio Federico. Since 1992, the channel mainly broadcasted classic and arthouse films, Neapolitan and Italian comedies, entertainment programs and cartoons.

In 1982, the station became part of Italia 1, but then moved to Euro TV in 1984 and lastly to Odeon in 1987. Over the course of years, other broadcasters belonging to the original station were created, those being Retecapri (the national broadcaster), Telecapri News, Telecapri Sport, and Capri Event.

On February 2020, Telecapri differentiated its station into two separate broadcasters for LCN 19 and LCN 76, those being Telecapri 19 and Telecapri 76, respectively. On July 2021, the LCN 76 channel in Campania, Puglia and Campobasso changed its name to Mediacapri 76, as well as the LCN 11 being Mediacapri 11, along with the LCN 19 channel going back to Telecapri, maintaining its numbering as well. The channel has then moved to LCN 15 on June 20, 2022.

(1984-Late 1980's?)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a slanted white disc with a hole in the center, laying on the bottom right corner. The planet Earth the proceeds to come out of the disc, as a star flies to the center of the screen. A ring like object then collides with the star, causing a red flash to explode. Then, the logo for the company, which is the text "Telecapri" and mountains, with its reflection below it, comes out of the explosion. The logo then zooms in, as a new star twinkles where the old one was, as the scene zooms in to it's black background.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A dramatic rising orchestral note, followed by an orchestral hit and announcer saying "Queste è Telecapri".
