Background

PakaPaka is an Argentine television channel and website providing shows and original programming for children ages 2 to 12 and their families. Launched initially as a programming section in the Encuentro television channel on September 23, 2007, and later as a digital terrestrial television and FTA channel on September 17, 2010, although regular transmissions begun on September 9. It is operated by Argentina's Ministry of Education.

1st Logo (2010-2015)

Nicknames: "Bouncy Letters", "The Box"

Logo: In a white background, a box forms from the floor and opens itself, then eight letters (each one is inside a different square) form the logo. Then the text "El Poder de la imaginación" ("The power of imagination" in Spanish) appears.

FX/SFX: Stopmotion and decent 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: Several cartoonish sounds.

Availability: Extinct. Used to be in every show aired on the channel. After PakaPaka's first rebranding in November 2016, this logo was plastered. However, it can be found easily searching the oldest videos in their YouTube channel and it might be still present in some DVDs found in educational libraries in Argentina.

Editor's Note: Quite simple but memorable logo.

2nd Logo (2015-2016)

Nicknames: "Falling Letters"

Logo: We see the letters of the PakaPaka's logo falling from above and the text "el poder de la imaginación" appearing. 2 seconds later, the text spins to reveal "www.pakapaka.gob.ar".

FX/SFX: The letters falling and the text spinning.

Music/Sounds: Sparkling sounds.

Availability: Extinct. It's even harder to find on their YouTube channel, since it was used for a year.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (November 2016-May 25, 2020)

Nicknames: "Forming Letters"

Logo: Just the letters in the new logo forming.

FX/SFX: The letters forming. Once again, simple animation.

Music/Sounds: A 9-note happy vibraphone.

Availability: Extinct, but totally easy to find in their YouTube videos prior to 2020.

Editor's Note: None.

4th Logo (May 25, 2020-)

Nicknames: "Forming Letters II"

Logo: TBA.

FX/SFX: Once again, the letters forming.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Current.

Editor's Note: None.
