Background

The Media Development Authority (MDA) was a statutory board of the Singapore Government, under the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI). MDA was formed on January 1st, 2003, which was later dissolved on October 1, 2013 with CEO founder Gabriel Lim, and Niam Chiem Meng, Chairman.

Logo: We see the Singapore Broadcasting Authority (SBA) logo which consists of a blue/red streaked curved comet touching a red dot to the far left side out of behind of the letter "S", and the SBA text (which is somewhat related to the 1998-2002 Sky Channel (BSkyB) wordmark logo), appears in front and inside of the red comet and dot on the left. Also, the letters

S B A

all space out together and spread their position to match the pace for these outer designs for this logo, respectively.

Variant(s):

From 2001 to 2003, the SBA text is now completely italicized, which makes this:

S B A

Plus in this variant, the SBA text seems a little more wider and stretched out more in proportion than the original one, not for the comet and the dot on the left of the big capital letter "S".

On either much or some of the company's programming from SBA, the logo is still and is also superimposed on the end credits of the TV series or movie/film.

SFX: None, except that it's likely normal to higher to medium (just for the onscreen logo, only for on-air station ID's and on the company's very owned programming).

Music/Sounds: Either its company-owned and related promotional music (in case as a station ID or so), the end theme of of the show/TV series/film (or movie), the TV network's generic jingle, or none.

Availability: This is used on older SBA produced shows, only just for the superimposed variant.

Nickname(s): "mda", "The MDA Rainbow Wordmark", "The Rainbow Logo", "Rainbow MDA", "Lipstick Pink, Turquoise, and Purple", "Rainbow Dash in the Style of the MDA Wordmark".

Logo: In this version, we see the then current MDA logo where it consists of the text

is now in place of SBA, in whereas it officially got a name change in the logo's first year, but mda is all lowercased in thin bubble letters, thus "m" is in reddish-pink, "d", which makes it half turquoise half purple, nor "a", which makes this kind of purple with the half (right) portion of the d, also in purple. phrase is now renamed as "Media Development Authority Singapore", all together in dark gray and stacked, appears below above the "mda" rainbow wordmark.

Variant(s):

On some of the company's shows from the era, the logo can also be still and superimposed on the show's closing credits.
On the end credits on episodes of Rob the Robot on TVOntario, the logo is still and superimposed inside a white rectangular box background which takes place somewhat on a galaxy setting.
The black background superimposed variant can be seen on shows such as like Mr. Moon, and all other related contents from the period.
On some shows, the website URL in either black or white appears below the logo, along with IAW info in English or Mandarin.

SFX: None, but it's both an print logo and is also a still in-credit onscreen logo.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the series for most shows in the company.

Availability: The onscreen logo variant can be used on MDA produced shows, such as Rob The Robot, Mr. Moon, Ruff-Ruff, Tweet & Dave, and others. Don't expect to see this logo on Dinosaur Train. Nothing really exactly for the print logo.

Logo: The new and current 2016 MDA logo is used, but the letter "I" is now added to the abbreviation, which is now renamed from Media Development Authority to

in gradient half reddish-half dark pinkish-half purple colours, all in a fashioned font. The "I" in white has two reddish-pink coloured parellogram shapes, and the "M', also in white as well, has three purple-toned traced out triangles around them. Next to those reads the latter from above, all stacked in within into their place to spread it's position on the logo.

Variant: This logo can also be found still and superimposed on the end credits on most or some of the company's shows, like the previous (first 2) ones.

SFX: None. This logo is used onscreen on some of its shows, but it's also used as a print logo as well.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the series or sometimes, none.

Availability: Current. This can be used on current or future content shows related to IMDA from the era since 2016.
