Background

Google TV is a digital distribution service for movies and TV shows, operated by Google. It allows users to search and discover video titles across multiple streaming services as well as to rent or buy available titles for Google and add any selected title to a watchlist for watching or accessing such titles from eligible devices and platforms.

Screen (2023-)

Visuals: There is a rectangle representing a modern television set colored red, yellow, green, and blue, clockwise in different sides, on a dark gray background. The logo then enlarges and transforms into an outlined rectangle with very thin sides, emitting lights of Google's trademark colors. The rectangle then shrinks.

Variants:

  • A still version exists, which just consists of the first screen.
  • Portrait and landscape versions exist.
  • For television sets, "Google TV" is added next to the rectangle.

Technique: None, or 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be seen when you open the Google TV app on a tablet or a phone.

  • The variant with both screens seems to only occur when starting the app up for the first time.
  • The "Google TV" variant only occurs when you boot up a television with Google TV.
