Not to be confused with the video game company that made the D series.

Background

Warp Records is a British independent label founded at Sheffield, South Yorkshire in 1989. During it's early days the label specialized in electronic genres such as bleep techno (at the beginning of their career) and IDM (the genre the label is most familiarized with). Key electronic artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre and Boards of Canada released their albums on Warp. Since the 2000s, the company also began signing contracts with non-electronic artists such as Grizzly Bear, Battles and most recently Danny Brown.
