Background

WNYE is a non-commercial independent station located in New York City. It began broadcasting in 1967 and was affiliated with PBS until 2004.

1st Logo (1977?)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a circled up-down-left-right arrow symbol, and below it is the text "Produced in the Studios of WNYE."

Audio: A female announcer saying "Produced in the studios of WNYE, New York."

2nd Logo (1995-1998)


Visuals: On a background with the Empire State Building, there are the letters "N" and "Y" slide and zoom from the building. Then, the letter "W" slides right and "E" slides left. After that, the captions "CHANNEL 25" and "NEW YORK" fade in.

  • There exists a variant where the logo is shown with a night sky.
