Background

WBGT-CD (Channel 46) is a television station in Rochester, New York, United States. It was founded in Febraury 2, 1998 as an independent station, before becoming an UPN affiliate in November. After UPN ceased operations in 2006, the channel became a MyNetworkTV affiliate.



1st ID (1998)


Visuals: On a blue gradient background with half of the grid seen shining and yellow words "BIG TV! WBGT LP ROCHESTER " with the station's information seen below, 3 copies of TV tubes with a purple-ish screen with white cursive words "BIG TV! " and the station's name "WBGT" below, slide from various sides one by one and zoom in. A segmented blue rectangle slides from top to bottom, and a red line made out of dots slides from left to right.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An upbeat horn tune with an announcer saying "TV 40 West, 26 East and Channel 18 on cable, this is Big TV!".

2nd ID (2002-2003)


Visuals: There are some curve lines moving around on a blue background. Two curve lines then fly forward and out of the screen, and the logo from the previous ident flips and flies into the center. The word "TURN IT UP" also flies in below the ident, with it spinning itself while flying in. After that, the curve line in the background moves slowly, and the word "TURN IT UP" also slowly turns around.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The music from the promo.
