Viva Home Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Not be confused with the home video division of Viva Films.

Logo (1983-Late 1980's)

Visuals: On a blue starry sky background, there is a box zooming in from the top left. When it's finished, the words "HOME VIDEO" slide in on the bottom of the box. The whole thing looks pretty similar to the logo for RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video until the inside of the box is filled with red, wiping downward, and the word "VIVA", in a fancy cursive font, flies in, flipping around as it makes its way into the box.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A funky futuristic-sounding synth-piano sounder, which is actually an excerpt of "Accentuated Energy" by Alan Hawkshaw.

Availability: Appeared on some Tintin VHS from the late 80's in Spain, such as Tintín on The Shark's Lake, and the 70's Tintin at the Temple of Sun. Also appeared on tapes on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in Spain.
