1st Logo (June 1982-Mid 80's)

Nicknames: "Cheesy VTC", "Flipping VTC", "Disco VTC", "VTC Police Sirens", "Saturday Night VTC"

Logo: On a black background, we see the VTC logo (constituting of a blue & yellow weird looking "VTC" with a white shadow around it) with a "VideoTapeCenter" text flipping counterclockwise and zooming in. It then flips counterclockwise from the top left corner of the screen, then from the top right of the screen, then from the bottom right of the screen, and finally from the bottom left of the screen. When the logo stops in the middle of the screen, "PRESENTS" appears under it. The logo then remains stationary for a few more seconds before fading out.

FX/SFX: The flipping of the logo from the various places mentioned above.

Music/Sounds: It starts of with police sirens, after a few seconds, disco music also start playing with the police sirens playing in the background.

Availability: Seen on VTC pre-certs in the UK, including notably, Alien 2: On Earth (Released as "Alien Terror" by VTC).

Legacy: Considering the country of origin, it is odd to see the company named “Video Tape Center” instead of Video Tape Centre”.

2nd Logo (Early 80's-Mid 80's)

Nicknames: "Cheesy VTC II", " VTC Copies", "Disco VTC II", "VTC Police Sirens II", "Saturday Night VTC II"

Logo: We see, on a black background, a ring that is composed by several copies of the "VTC", while another one rotates on the disc and increases in size, this copy also as the words "VideoTapeCenter" visible. After they stop in the center of the screen, the word "PRESENTS" in lime appear.

FX/SFX: The "copies" of the logo, the word fading.

Music/Sounds: Same as before.

Availability: Same as before.

Legacy: Same as before.

3rd Logo (Mid-Late 80s?)

Logo: On a black background, we see the parts of the "VTC" from before flying leaving a trail, one is yellow and other is blue (The blue part also seem to flip) until they place on the center. The background turns in to a yellow color with a white glow, and a metallic outline appear on the "VTC". "PRESENTS" on a futuristic font moves under the "VTC", also leaving a trail.

FX/SFX: The zooming and trails of the logo and the "presents text. The logo is very ugly and cheap.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Through the Magic Pyramid and possibly on some other titles from the period.

Swedish Variants

1st Logo (Early 1980s)

Logo: On a black background, several spikes dive down from the top of the screen, outlined in a yellow/white gradient as they wave about to reveal an painting of an stern-looking man surrounded by fire (which is actually poster art). After a second of the image being revealed, an different Video Tape Center logo fades in yellow along with "presenterar" below it in Arial. The logo depicts the text "VIDEOCENTER" in the same font as the regular VTC logo, but in a box with a grainy inside texture and a sleepy-looking cartoony old man poking above the box, holding a sign reading "TAPE" on the text. Back in the background, the image gets wiped away for more poster art via a spinning yellow bar that splits into 2. This happens again, before the logo fades out and it cuts to an image of a screencap of an cartoon, having "SVENSKTEXTAT" plastered diagonally across it in a green Arial font, and then 2 more pieces of poster art wipe in with different methods (the 1st having a rotating cube effect, and the 2nd having a diagonal split). Finally, it cuts to the logo shown at the beginning, but on a black background and much larger, right before the wavy spikes come back down to wipe the logo away.

FX/SFX: The transitions.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st and 2nd UK logos.

Availability: Extremely rare.

Legacy: The logo design here appears to be unique to early Swedish releases of the company.

2nd Logo (Early-Mid 1980s)

Logo: On a black background, the standard VTC logo zooms in slowly as a montage of 4 movie clips play behind the logo for a bit. After it transitions to a single clip, the logo flips out of existence to let a montage of clips from several other movies play out. At the end with a clip of a motorcycle breaking through a glass window, the VTC logo animation plays again as the clip fades out, followed by the logo flipping away once more.

FX/SFX: The clips, the logo zooming and flipping.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st and 2nd UK logos.

Availability: Extremely rare.
