Background

Unicorn Video Inc. was a video distributor that was formed around 1981 by Phil Binder, based both the US and Canada.

1st Logo (1981-Mid 1980s?)

Visuals: On a cornflower blue background, a black square outline with the words "Unicorn Video Inc." with each first letter in a big size, stacked perspectively by each position of various texts, with the word "PRESENTS ....." underneath, fade in, then they fade out later.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: Can be commonly seen on various public-domain cartoon releases, such as their Bozo the Clown releases. It also appears on the Swedish dub of the aforementioned series' 2nd season.

2nd Logo (Mid 1980s-Mid 1990s?)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a half of a circle with yellow, red and lavender coloring over it. Inside it is a head of a unicorn, and the text "UnİCORn VIdeO" shaped as an arch. Underneath all of it is the text "CANADA". It stands in the middle as it moves and shifts to the left. The Rocky Mountain Video logo follows after this.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.
