Background

UKTV Documentary was launched on March 8, 2004; it was one of the two channels that replaced UK Horizons (the other being UKTV People), but UKTV Documentary aired a majority of shows that were previously aired on UK Horizons. In January 2009, UKTV Documentary was renamed Eden when the UKTV network started dropping the umbrella branding from its channels.

Visuals: Against either a field or a city, there is a close up of something. The camera then zooms out and the UKTV Documentary logo appears.

Variant: The generic umbrella ident was of the UKTV Documentary logo against a background comprised of three horizontal stripes in different shades of teal, which would fade to black and then back to teal via a wipe effect.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A catchy theme consisting of guitars and drums.
