The Behemoth is an American video game company that was founded on May 27, 2003 by John Baez, Nick Dryburgh, Tom Fulp, Brandon LaCava and Dan Paladin. 1st Logo (June 2003-September 26, 2012)

Visuals: A fat, white chicken that is entirely outlined in blue and is sitting down crashes into the ground, leaving behind a few feathers. "THE BEHEMOTH COMPANY" appears below the rotund bird, which looks at us, then turns back before zooming away to the top left corner.

Variants:

  • On the console ports of Alien Hominid, the chicken lands on the preceding Newgrounds logo and crushes it, causing tank parts to fly everywhere and the background to change from black to white. "THE BEHEMOTH" appears below the rotund bird, which then looks at us before it zooms in and fades away.
    • On Castle Crashers, after the chicken crushes the Newgrounds logo, it pulls out a sword before multiple arrows are rapidly fired from the right side of the screen.
  • On the Game Boy Advance port of Alien Hominid, the logo is still.
  • On Super Soviet Missile Mastar, the logo is rendered entirely in white and 1-bit on a red background.

Technique: 2D Flash animation.

Audio: A crush sound followed by chicken clucking.

Audio Variants:

  • On Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers, the opening theme of the game is heard. The latter game has this accompanied by the added sounds of a sword being drawn and arrows flying.
  • On the GBA port of Alien Hominid and Super Soviet Missile Mastar, it's silent.

Availability: Seen on the console (and later Steam) ports of Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers and Super Soviet Missile Mastar. It first appeared as an opener on the company's website.

2nd logo (April 3, 2013)

Visuals: In a dimly-lit room with a brick wall and red curtains with gold bordering and tassels, there is a statue of the chicken on a white pedestal above the blocky and cartoonish text "THE BEHEMOTH". The chicken slightly jumps up as it clucks, and two cardboard puppets, one of the hominid from Alien Hominid and the Blue Knight from Castle Crashers, come up from the bottom of the screen before the lights cut out.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: The intro theme of the game and the chicken clucking.

Availability: Seen on BattleBlock Theater.

3rd logo (March 2, 2018)

Visuals: On a dark blue background with a lighter blue spot on the left side of the screen is the silhouette of a hand holding a grey chess piece of the chicken with a blue wattle above numerous other chess pieces, all of which are colored bronze. The hand makes the chicken piece knock over all the pieces, and on the right side of the screen, The Behemoth's logo appears in blue above the smaller white text "WE MAKE GAMES".

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Pit People.

4th Logo (January 30, 2020-)

(0:00) - (0:06)

Visuals: On a light blue background is the chicken, now in full color with a white body, a yellow beak and feet and a blue wattle, comb and tail feathers, fall down to the center of the screen, leaving behind feathers and creating a blue ring with a light blue interior behind it when it lands. The chicken then pulls out a green laser gun and pretends to fire it before multiple green square projectiles fire from the right side of the screen, surprising the bird. The chicken then puts the gun away, and The Behemoth's logo in dark blue and motto in blue appear under the chicken as a white outline flickers around it.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A cartoony falling and landing sound, the chicken clucking when it pretends to fire the laser gun, sci-fi beam firing noises when the projectiles appear and a high-pitched, altered voice saying "Behemoth" at the end.

Availability: Seen on The Behemoth's YouTube channel, specifically with some development updates with Alien Hominid Invasion, starting with the game's announcement trailer.
