1st Logo (1984-1985)

The Arthur Company (1984)

Logo: In a black background, a star (with the top part of it not being connected to the other parts) with a color trail of reddish-pink and yellow-green following it appears from the right side and zoom out to the left. When the star is about to reach its spot and stop, the color of the background fades to dark blue and the words "the rthur company" appear with the top part of the star representing the "A" in "Arthur".

FX/SFX: The star and color trail zooming out, the words appearing, and the background fading to dark blue. Decent animation for its time. Sometimes, the logo fades away leaving the blue background.

Music/Sounds: Soft "swoosh" sounds are heard as the star is zooming out, and a twinkling jingle is heard (with the last note being held for a little while) as the words appear and the background changes color.

Availability: Extremely rare. It can be seen in 1984-1985 episodes of Down to Earth.

Logo: We see a silver-outlined star with a rainbow trail zoom in, along with the words "The Arthur Company" on a space background. The star conjoins with the "A" and the words shine from left to right.

FX/SFX: The zooming of the star and words, and the shine on the words. Actually decent '80s CGI.

Music/Sounds: A loud whoosh and a sudden clang, which usually transitions into the 1983 MCA TV logo.

Music/Sounds Variants:

Sometimes (like in the video on the right), there would be some sort of voice-over.
On Down to Earth episode "Christmas Story", sounds of sleigh bells can be heard once the logo forms.

Availability: Probably rare. Was seen on The Munsters Today, The New Dragnet, and The New Adam-12 in syndication years ago. It can also be seen in the show Down to Earth.
