Background

This is the filmmaking arm of Chinese conglomerate Tencent. It also funds American films.

1st Logo (2015-2017)

Logo: We see a metallic narrow room with a blue light. We then zoom out to see it's an blue I-shape which resembles two opened doors on a black background. A shape then appears on the middle of the doors as "Tencent Pictures" in the corporate font with its translation atop it in a translucent blue style.

FX/SFX: Nice CGI.

Music/Sounds: A door creaking sound then sounds of metallic doors moving.

Availability: Can be seen on their first films.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (June 2, 2017-2021)

Logo: We see a bird flying through a city in the clouds as we see a door open in the city. Then, we see a castle with a dragon resting on it, and we fly to another door as another dragon can be seen. We then see a Mad Max-style race as we see the final door, which then reveals a futuristic, curved elevator shaft-like structure in space. We then fly on the shaft as we see the Tencent Pictures logo in space, in light blue. We then zoom in to the logo, then the logo fades to black.

Variants: Sometimes the logo is shortened to when the logo is revealed.

FX/SFX: Great CGI! Done by Grass Jelly Studio.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic fanfare, composed by Tzu-Chieh Wen.

Availability: No longer current. Seen on movies from the company starting with Wonder Woman (2017). The long version is seen on Chinese productions.

Editor's Note: It's a beautiful logo.

3rd Logo (2021- )

Logo: We see the last logo at the point where it forms, but there are noticably less stars and nebulae. As we zoom in, we see an eye-shaped galaxy and a galaxy of the same type. We then zoom out on the Tencent Pictures logo, but in a different shade of light blue, in a different space background.

Variants: Like the previous logo, sometimes the logo is shortened to when the logo is revealed.

FX/SFX: Amazing CGI, like the previous logos.

Music/Sounds: A new dramatic fanfare.

Availability: Current. The long version can be also seen on Chinese productions.

Editor's Note: It's a great way of updating their logo, by showing the previous logo transforming into a new one.
